Public transportation

Two Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) train stations are adjacent to the Rush University Medical Center campus:

  • Illinois Medical District (Blue Line)
  • Polk (Pink Line)

The following CTA bus routes include stops at or near the Medical Center campus:

  • #7 Harrison (weekdays)
  • #9 Ashland (weekdays and weekends)
  • #126 Jackson (weekdays and weekends)
  • #157 Streeterville/Taylor (weekdays)

PACE Route 755 provides weekday, rush-hour service between Plainfield and downtown Chicago. Inbound buses stop at Harrison and Paulina streets in the morning. Outbound buses stop in the afternoon.

Rush Copley Medical Center is located in Aurora, about 41 miles west of Chicago.

  • If you're coming from downtown Chicago, take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) west to I-88 west toward Aurora. Exit at Route 59. Turn left on Route 59 to Ogden Avenue (Route 34). Continue on Ogden Avenue until you reach your destination.
  • If you're coming from the western suburbs, take I-88 west toward Aurora. Exit at Route 59. Turn left on Route 59 to Ogden (Route 34). Continue on Ogden Avenue until you reach your destination.

Rush Oak Park Hospital is located just 15 minutes west of downtown Chicago. It is easily accessible by a number of train and bus routes, as well as by car.
