In times of uncertainty, Rush stands firm in its commitment to nurturing health equity and strengthening the communities we serve.
The Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement has launched the Community Resource Hub to ensure that individuals and families have access to the essential supports they need to live healthy and stable lives.
The Community Resource Hub connects residents with trusted, up-to-date resources within a 50-mile radius of Rush University Medical Center. This initiative reflects our belief that good health begins with access to basic needs and that community well-being thrives when everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
Through this hub, community members can easily find information and downloadable guides on:
- Emergency assistance to support individuals and families facing immediate crises or financial hardship
- Food access resources including local pantries, meal programs, and nutrition supports
- Housing resources that promote stability, safety, and long-term well-being
- Immigration services providing guidance, legal assistance, and advocacy for immigrant families
- Utilities assistance programs to help maintain essential household services
By creating this centralized hub, Rush is extending its mission beyond clinical care and investing in the social and economic conditions that shape health. This is what it means to nurture health equity and grow stronger communities, together.
