Rush Specialty Hospital, located at 516 S. Loomis St., Chicago, is a 135,000-square-foot, five-story facility that opened in early 2024. It offers comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients recovering from major accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
The Joan and Paul Rubschlager Building, located at 1520 W. Harrison St., Chicago, is home to RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center, providing specialized care in cancer, neurosciences and digestive diseases. The almost 500,000-square-foot building offers services such as radiation therapy, infusion therapy, diagnostic imaging, integrative medicine, clinical trials, endoscopy, gastroenterology, and the Lung Center. Designed to enhance the health care experience, it focuses on personalized and convenient care. Additionally, it has received LEED gold certification for its environmentally friendly design.
RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center at Rush Lisle, located at 2455 Corporate W Drive, Lisle, is a 55,000-square-foot center offering cancer supportive services, urgent care, breast imaging, general imaging, breast cancer surgery, infusion therapy, lab services, pharmacy and radiation therapy.
The Gift of Hope Organ Donor Care Center at Rush University Medical Center, the first of its kind in Illinois, features six donor care bays, two operating rooms (including one unusually large), and 24/7 medical and allied services. It also provides a family lounge and support services. The center, a 10,000-square-foot space, is jointly operated by Gift of Hope and Rush and is independent of Rush's transplant and other programs.
Located at 1625 N. Harlem Ave., Chicago, Rush North & Harlem is a 60,000-square-foot center providing urgent care, adult primary care, pediatrics, specialists, imaging and Rush's first regional retail pharmacy.
Facilities and Real Estate
Facilities and Real Estate Operations provides integrated property, maintenance and operational services across all system locations. We collaborate closely with Rush leadership and third-party property managers to provide strategic support in lease administration, facility oversight and financial planning, ensuring all properties are functional, compliant and aligned with institutional goals.
Core Services Provided:
- Facility maintenance and site services: janitorial, pest control, general repairs, lighting maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, recycling, waste handling, capital project coordination and environmental sustainability efforts.
- Lease management and occupant support: oversight of leased and affiliated properties, addressing occupant needs, ensuring lease obligations are met and maintaining facility performance within operational and budgetary parameters.
- Operational efficiency and resource management: evaluation and refinement of service contracts, maintenance strategies, and energy use to optimize performance, reduce costs and support procurement goals.
