Rush has launched a new patient mobile app designed to make navigating every aspect of health care as easy as pushing a button.
The new My Rush app creates a care hub on a patient’s smartphone where they can do everything from making appointments and navigating to their visits to checking symptoms and accessing same-day care options through the Rush Connect suite of digital care offerings.
“When we set out to reimagine the patient experience through a ‘digital-first’ lens, we knew we would need a tool that not only met patient needs for accessing test results, prescriptions, after-visit reports and paying bills but also created seamless access to all of Rush’s health offerings, both in-person care and virtual care,” said Paul Casey, MD, MBA, senior vice president and chief medical officer at Rush.
“My Rush is now a unified platform that has everything you need to conveniently and seamlessly navigate your personalized care journey.”

Convenient new features
Powered by Rush Connect, My Rush also offers an expanding collection of new features designed to make the Rush health care experience simpler and more convenient. This includes (in both English and Spanish):
- Turn-by-turn directions to appointments in the car and within some clinics using a new "Let's Go" feature
- Scheduling of any new Rush appointments, including in-person appointments as well as same-day and next-day virtual visits through Rush Connect Virtual Urgent Care and Rush Connect Virtual Specialty Care
- Ask Isabella, a virtual assistant that can review your symptoms and guide you to the best care options
- Access to Rush Connect+, our new virtual health membership
- Live urgent care wait times at some clinics
- Personalized health and wellness resources
- Ability to recognize your care team with a donation to support Rush's mission
My Rush also incorporates CLEAR, the secure identity company, to help patients easily create a new MyChart account if they don’t have one, or to reset their passwords in a few easy, secure steps. Patients will be offered CLEAR’s opt-in service to use unique characteristics — by taking a quick selfie — to securely and efficiently verify their identity. This provides an easy and secure password reset experience, so patients save time by not having to wait for help.
“Our patients have come to expect simplicity and convenience in all aspects of life, and health care has historically lagged behind other industries in leveraging technology to enhance their experience,” said Ben Wolfe, senior director, Digital Transformation. “The new My Rush app is built to personalize the patient experience today — while being a foundation for the future digital health innovations Rush is hard at work developing.”
“When we introduced Rush Connect to the marketplace,” Casey said, “we highlighted how it creates unparalleled convenient access and how we want our patients to be able to get care where and when they need it. This new app is the tool that makes that happen — in the palm of your hand.”
