Rush Urgent Care is located within Rush River North at 539 N. Dearborn St. We’re close to public transportation, with a nearby Red Line stop at Grand Avenue and State Street. 

Rush Urgent Care is conveniently located within Rush River North at 539 N. Dearborn St. The Grand Plaza Parking garage can be entered from Ohio Street or Grand Avenue. Take the Dearborn Street elevator to the ground level. Upon exiting the building, Rush River North’s entrance will be to your left. Rush parking validation provides six hours of parking for $12.

Urgent care is for treating conditions that don’t require hospitalization but need prompt medical attention. This includes acute illnesses and minor wounds that are not likely to be immediately life-threatening.

Many patients find that their primary care providers cannot see them quickly enough to treat these conditions. Urgent care offers an alternative without the need to wait for an appointment.

If you have a more serious concern, like a head injury, a wound that is heavily bleeding, difficulty breathing, chest pain or severe abdominal pain, you should get to your nearest emergency room rather than urgent care.

If you need help managing a chronic condition, like diabetes, coronary artery disease, arthritis or asthma, you should make an appointment with your primary care physician or family doctor.

Yes, our urgent care location in Chicago does perform X-rays for minor trauma fractures.

Yes, urgent care offers suturing for minor wounds, and it is a common treatment. But for more extensive wounds, such as those with significant continued bleeding or those that cause cosmetic issues, particularly to the face, you should visit the ER instead.

Yes, urgent care can test and treat many of the most common sexually transmitted infections and diseases, including chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis. Urgent care also treats gynecological issues, like vaginal discharge, that are not necessarily related to STIs.

For more serious, chronic STDs and STIs, such as HIV, your diagnostics may start at urgent care, but you will likely be referred back to your primary care provider for further treatment.

Yes, urgent care can do blood work. But our diagnostics typically rely on an off-site lab service for testing, so results are not often available until one or two business days after samples are sent out.

Rush Urgent Care – River North is open Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 am to 7:00pm.
