Provider Spotlight: Rachel Cordova, Massage Therapist

Helping people relax to improve their lives
Rachel Cordova

Rachel Cordova loves helping people feel better and relax. A licensed massage therapist, she recently began providing massage and reflexology to participants at Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center.

“These sessions focus on comfort, relaxation and improving the quality of participants’ everyday lives,” she says. “It’s important because sometimes we need a little help and support to remind ourselves to relax.”

Cordova believes that people do not get enough rest in their lives, and it takes a toll on our bodies. She loves seeing the relief on a participant’s face after a great session.

In addition to providing massage, Cordova enjoys all things crafty, including papercrafting, scrapbooking and cardmaking.  She’s also learning woodworking. And she enjoys hanging out with her family, especially her grandbabies.

“Rest is not self-indulgence,” she says. “It is self-care! Practice radical self-care and get some rest.”
