Melanoma Surveillance Clinic

Rush has taken the necessary steps to ensure it's a safe place for treatment. Learn more.

At Rush, physicians from many specialties, including dermatology, oncology, surgery, pathology and radiology, work together to provide you with a melanoma treatment plan that suits your needs.

In addition, melanoma care at Rush emphasizes monitoring and prevention. Photographic surveillance of high-risk moles can monitor changes over time, allowing cancer to be found early when it is most treatable.

Patients also receive counseling on the following prevention strategies:

  • Performing skin self-exams
  • Detecting early mole changes
  • Avoiding sun exposure
