Spotlight: Ruth Medrano, Administrative Assistant

Being a person of comfort for anyone she meets
Administrative assistant Ruth Medrano

As the new administrative assistant at Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, Ruth Medrano enjoys the work because it’s something different every day. But she says the best part of her job is the people she sees and works with on a daily basis.

An administrative assistant for many years, she says the tasks for that come naturally to her at this point, but it’s important because she assists participants during their visits.

“I hope to be a person of comfort for participants and their families as they walk through the doors of Waterford Place,” she says. In doing so, she strives to emulate her late grandmother, whom she describes as a person of comfort for anyone she met.

“I try to keep her legacy going through me and what I do in life,” she explains.

When not at work, the avid crafter enjoys creating, traveling, spending time with loved ones and trying new foods.
