Rush and Amazon One Medical Announce Collaboration

New service will transform Chicago health care by offering more specialty and primary care options, both in person and virtually

With a shared commitment to transforming health care, Rush, one of Chicago’s premier academic medical health systems, and Amazon One Medical, a national in-person and virtual primary care organization, will collaborate to deliver seamless primary and specialty care in Chicago.

This new relationship gives patients in the greater Chicago area increased access to coordinated health services through Amazon One Medical’s innovative care model and Rush’s world-class health system across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. One Medical currently operates multiple primary care offices throughout the Chicago area.

Amazon One Medical was designed to improve the patient care experience at every touch point, including thoughtfully designed offices, convenient appointments, and ample time between patients and their provider. 

While not required for scheduled in-person or remote appointments, One Medical memberships can be added as a Prime benefit for Amazon Prime members at health.amazon.com/prime for $9/month or $99/year or purchased at OneMedical.com. Membership covers access to One Medical’s 24/7 on-demand virtual care services, including video chats with licensed providers within minutes, that lets members get fast care for common concerns such as allergies, skin issues, urinary tract infections and more. One Medical accepts most major insurance plans for in-person care or pre-scheduled remote visits.

The right kind of care

One Medical patients are able to transition smoothly to Rush for specialty care as needed — ensuring the right care, at the right time, in the right setting seamlessly. In addition to in-person appointments with Rush specialists, Rush offers virtual same or next-day appointments through Rush Connect Virtual Specialty Care. Conditions treated by Rush Connect Virtual Specialty Care include ear, nose and throat disorders; heart care; skin and hair issues; urinary and sexual health; back and neck pain; women's and menstrual health; weight loss; sports cardiology; cancer second opinions; and liver and kidney transplant, with more conditions coming soon.
