Rush faith and community health partnerships
The Office of Community Engagement is committed to strengthening existing partnerships and forging new ones as we work to improve the health of our community. Monthly health education programs, screenings, and special health events are available and offered in faith and community settings.
The Rush Coalition of HOPE
The Coalition of Hope’s mission is to organize and collaborate with West Side community stakeholders to enhance health and wellness by providing education and direct services. Rush University Medical Center supports the coalition as a key stakeholder and partner to achieve the goal of improving the health of underserved populations. This clergy and congregant leadership group meets monthly at Rush and in the community settings.
Rush community engagement wellness initiatives
Rush offers many free health and wellness programs through the Office of Community Engagement. We are committed to reducing cost and transportation barriers and increasing access to health care and resources to improve the health of our West Side community. Our strategic efforts focus on reducing risk factors and improving self-management skills for those living with chronic conditions, providing mental health resources in community settings and promoting heart health.
