Dear Friends,
I am proud to share with you that Rush University College of Nursing continues to demonstrate strength amid challenges. In October, Rush was honored for the third consecutive year with the Best Schools for Men in Nursing award from the American Association for Men in Nursing. This recognition reflects our commitment to recruiting and supporting men in nursing to improve patient care and expand career opportunities.
This isn’t the only accomplishment we’re celebrating. I’m thrilled to share the release of our annual magazine, Nursing That Transforms, highlighting the transformative work of our College of Nursing community. This edition celebrates the accomplishments of you — our alumni — and the faculty and students who share this journey.
The strong reputation you help create for Rush is one important reason the philanthropic community supports our students. With federal aid loans curtailed or ending, those students’ needs — from emergency funds to increased scholarships — are urgent. The University is developing additional aid packages, and your support is more critical than ever.
It truly takes a community to sustain the College, and we are deeply grateful for your participation!
Warm regards,
Christine M. Kennedy, RN, PhD, FAAN
