Patient-centered care for hearing loss

Rush has taken the necessary steps to ensure it's a safe place for treatment. Learn more.

At Rush, we understand the challenges associated with hearing loss. That's why we've assembled a team of highly-trained professionals who are dedicated to identifying problems and developing custom care plans that meet the communication needs of both individuals and their families.

Our plans focus on the development of skill-specific communication strategies and explore the benefits you should expect from using personal sound amplifiers, hearing aids, auditory osseointegrated implants (Baha) or cochlear implants.

Because communication is a shared experience, we always encourage family members to participate in your Rush experience.

A team approach to enhancing communication

Our experts collaborate to accurately diagnose and treat hearing loss and tinnitus in both adults and children. Your personal care team may include one or more of the following specialists:

Hearing aid appointments from home
Those who use hearing aids often require fine tuning after adjusting to their new instruments. Thanks to new technology, changes to how the hearing aid is programmed can be made by the audiologist online, allowing the patient to receive these services from home. Call us at (888) 352-RUSH (7874) to get started.

Excellence in Hearing Loss Care

Leading-edge diagnostic technology

With use of the most advanced diagnostic tools available, our team will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your hearing and/or balance, identify the cause of your problems and develop the most appropriate plan of care.

Access to the latest treatment innovations

We provide a wide range of hearing loss management options, including the latest hearing aids, as well assistive listening devices for television, telephone, Bluetooth and other wireless technology.

Working with our specialists, you will be able to make informed choices that best suit your needs. For some, surgically implanted devices — such as cochlear implants or auditory osseointegrated implants (Baha) — may be the best option.

Specialized care

We tailor care to you and have programs dedicated to children, patients with tinnitus, hearing protection, and those who might benefit from hearing aids or auditory implants.

Highly-trained audiologists

All of our audiologists at Rush have doctorate degrees, state licenses and clinical certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. As teachers and researchers, we're able to bring the latest advances in audiology to our patients.

Accessible care, convenient locations

Rush audiologists provide services at several Rush locations, including Chicago, Oak Park, Oak Brook and South Loop.
