At Rush University Medical Center, we are putting your safety first. For information about COVID-19, see the latest updates. Rush accepts donations to support our response effort, staff, and patients and families.
E-Visits at Rush are available to anyone 18 and older, whether or not they have seen a doctor at Rush in the past. Get started with your online doctor visit using the following steps:
Virtual visits are not for emergencies. If you have an urgent medical need, call 911 — or visit your nearest emergency department or urgent care facility.
E-Visits are available 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
You may submit an E-Visit at any time but if you complete an online physician visit outside these hours or on certain holidays, it may take us longer to get back to you.
To promote safety and wellness in our community, we will submit claims for e-visits directly to your insurance carrier and you will not need to pay an upfront fee for your visit. If we do not have your insurance on file or if you do not currently have coverage, we may follow up with you after your visit. In some instances, copays or co-insurance may apply. The standard patient out of pocket expense for an e-Visit is $30 or less.
Due to prevalence of COVID-19, cold/cough/flu E-Visits are currently unavailable. If you need virtual care for cough, cold or flu symptoms, please try on-demand video visits. Return to work assessments are also available only through on-demand video visits.
*Only for established patients who have visited Rush in the last three years.
You can also save a trip to the pediatrician's office and get an online doctor's visit from the comfort of your own home with E-Visits at Rush for kids.
