About Rush Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Care focused on your needs: After reviewing your history and previous tests and procedures, we perform a thorough exam to evaluate your condition or injury, ability to function and more. This helps us understand how best to help you, including recommending which diagnostic tests, treatments and referrals to other specialists you need. We perform EMG and nerve conduction studies, among other tests, to ensure proper diagnosis.
- Access to Rush University Medical Center resources: Our physiatrists see patients at Rush University Medical Center and Rush Oak Park Hospital, with seamless care between the two locations. If you have procedures at Rush University Medical Center, you can schedule follow-up appointments as well as physical, occupational or speech therapy in Oak Park for your convenience.
- Treatment from head to toe: We specialize in nonsurgical treatment, including injections and blocks, for a wide range of issues. Our expertise includes spine and back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, joint pain, Parkinson's disease, MS, stroke and sports injuries. Our goal is to help improve your symptoms and function, so you can get you back to normal activity.
- A holistic approach: Our physical medicine and rehabilitation providers offer holistic care that treats the whole person — not only the biological causes of functional limitations, but also the psychological and social issues that these limitations can cause. To help ensure that all of your needs are addressed, we work closely with other members of the Rush outpatient rehabilitation team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists.
This clinic is a department of RUSH University Medical Center.
