Clinical Trial Protocol Description:

The Section of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago maintains a tissue storage bank that allows us to collect tissue, blood, urine and/or stool samples from persons undergoing endoscopic procedures. Such procedures may include colonoscopy, EGD (Barrett’s screening), flexible sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or surgery. This tissue storage bank allows researchers to run experiments on tissue samples of both healthy individuals and those who are afflicted with gastrointestinal conditions to determine the cause of such disorders and develop more effective therapeutic treatments.

  • Be over age 18.
