Clinical Trial Title
Technology Enabled Services to Enhance Depression Care (iCan4Wellness)National Clinical Trial Number:
NCT05406791Contact Information
Clinical Trial Protocol Description:
You are invited to participate in a research opportunity that you may be eligible for! In collaboration with researchers from Northwestern University and The University of Illinois at Chicago, we are investigating how technology may be used to help people manage mood, feel less stressed, and improve mental health. The goal of this research study is to evaluate how mental health smartphone apps may support people experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Eligible participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups where they will interact with a smartphone app designed to provide information about managing stress, depression, and anxiety -- either with the support of a coach or on their own. All participants will complete research surveys online and some will be invited to complete telephone interviews. We expect that you will be in this research study for 12 weeks. The smartphone app will be provided at no cost to participants. Participants will be compensated for participating in the study.
This study has been approved by the Northwestern University IRB STU00211887.
