For instance, new molecular tests allow us to more easily identify genetic alterations on cancer tumors, which helps us pinpoint which medicine will help each cancer patient. It also means that you can get test results quickly, which helps ensure you receive proper treatment right away.
- Highly trained specialists: All of our pathologists specialize in diagnosing disease in specific types of tissues, organs or cells, such as the breast or the blood. - Comprehensive on-site laboratory services. Rush is a major academic health system with three full-service laboratories. We can perform most of the pathology tests you need in our labs. This means we can provide results quickly — getting you and your doctor the information you need right away.
- Convenient testing services. Each of our system hospitals has lab testing on site, which makes it easy and convenient for you to get the tests you need after visiting your Rush doctor. Alternatively, you can ask your doctor to help you identify a lab testing site near you that takes your insurance.
