Rush Oak Park Hospital Medical Staff Gala, an annual fundraiser for the hospital that raises money for facility improvements as well as new medical equipment, again brought in an impressive amount of money this year.
Held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on March 2, this year’s gala – with a theme of ‘Wonder’— matched last year’s $98,000 take. Nearly 200 guests attended the event.
The money from this year’s gala couldn’t come at a better time as the hospital prepares to put the finishing touches on its new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department expected to open in the fall. The proceeds will go toward the purchase of a top-of-the-line ultrasound system for the department.
“Many thanks to those who attended and donated to this year’s fundraiser,” said Bruce Elegant, president and CEO of Rush Oak Park Hospital. “The ongoing support to continue our mission of providing quality and compassionate care to the communities we serve is much appreciated,” said Bruce Elegant, president and CEO of Rush Oak Park Hospital. “This advanced technology will provide clear, real-time imaging to better serve our patients in the Emergency Department.”
