Development of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis Rating Scale (MDS-PDPRS)Clinical Trial Protocol Description:
This study aims to develop a validated rating scale for Parkinson's Disease Psychosis (PDP) that can be applied across levels of cognitive function, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia. A validated rating scale is a tool that has undergone extensive testing to prove it consistently and accurately measures what it is designed to measure, such as memory.
Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:
In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:
- Meet MDS diagnostic criteria for PD and PDP.
- Have symptoms which are recurrent or continuous during waking hours for one month.
- Have a care partner willing to participate. This would be any adult active in the participant's routine (provided personal care or helped identify, prevent, or treat PD symptoms for at least one month within the past six months).
You will be excluded from the study if any of the following criteria apply to you:
- Are clinically unstable.
