Clinical Trial Title
The Lung Health Cohort StudyNational Clinical Trial Number:
NCT04543461Clinical Trial Protocol Description:
What is the purpose of the Lung Health Cohort Study?
Put your best breath forward by participating in this exciting first-of-its-kind study. We are recruiting 4,000 young adults at the age of peak lung health to unlock the mysteries of lung disease. Little is currently known about the evolution of lung disease and how a young adult’s lung function changes over time. Join us as we key into how and why lung disease develops, so we can ultimately stop it in its tracks. You can be part of making history!
What will you be doing?
The Lung Health Cohort Study will last approximately five (5) years. The baseline visit will take place at the site with additional information collected remotely (e.g., electronically, over the phone or by mail). After that, participants will be contacted remotely up to four (4) times per year. Purpose of the baseline visit is to determine eligibility, obtain study data, draw blood, collect nasal samples and conduct a low-dose CT scan. Brief follow-ups are used to update contact information and gather additional details related to health and exposures. Compensation will be provided upon completion of the initial baseline visit and follow-up contacts.
