Neuronal changes in intractable epilepsy

Clinical Trial Protocol Description:

Patients who are candidates for epilepsy surgery, during which brain tissue will be taken out as part of the standard surgical procedure, are invited to donate a portion of this brain tissue and medical information about themselves so scientists can examines how epilepsy affects the brain. Scientists involved in this study will use this tissue to better understand the underlying makeup of this tissue and how it causes epilepsy.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria:

In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:

  • Are having brain surgery as part of medical management of epilepsy.
