I see people who are in pain, who have medical issues, who have a cancer that's encompassing their daily thoughts and activities. There's no greater reward than helping them get through that journey and getting them back to living the life that they love.
In his practice, Benjamin focuses on bariatric and weight loss surgery, as well as advanced minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery.
Benjamin has been a member of the medical staff at Rush since 2015, joining after he completed his fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. When he joined the team, he was no stranger to the institution, as he completed a general surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center from 2009 to 2014.
He sees patients at both Rush University Medical Center and at Rush Oak Park Hospital. In addition to his surgical practice, he is co-director of the Surgical Clerkship Program at Rush Medical College.
