Alexander F. Pope, CFREAlexander (Alex) Pope serves as the vice president of Philanthropy and Community Engagement at Rush Copley Medical Center.

Pope’s commitment to community health has resulted in Rush Copley leveraging philanthropy to be a catalyst for change in impacting the social determinants of health, particularly evolving health equity, in the service community.  As a result, Pope leads the planning, process and implementation of the Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan.

Pope has a strong commitment to continuing education, community engagement and service. He has been a member and involved with the Association of Healthcare Professionals for many years, as well as the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chicago Chapter (having served on Board of Directors for many years, including as president in 2010). He was honored to receive the Chapter’s Presidents Award recognizing leadership and service to the industry. 

Locally, Pope serves on the board of directors for Aurora Regional Economic Alliance, Loaves & Fishes Community Services and Earthmover Credit Union, and serves as chair of the Kendall County Community Health Advisory Board.
