Alexander (Alex) Pope serves as the vice president, Philanthropy and Community Engagement. His nonprofit service and career spans more than 30 years. He has particular expertise in creating a strong and sustainable culture of philanthropy within organizations and their constituents, and this is accomplished by utilizing two strengths: 1) building partnerships/friendships with all stakeholders and 2) identifying and implementing opportunities for best practices (including action and outcome-based performance metrics). These partnerships and implementation of best practices have resulted in an extraordinarily impactful philanthropic program. He has successfully leveraged philanthropy to be a catalyst for change in impacting the social determinants of health, particularly evolving health equity, in the Rush Copley community.
Pope has been a member and involved with the Association of Healthcare Professionals for many years, as well as the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chicago Chapter (served on Board of Directors for many years, including as president). He was even honored to receive the chapter’s President's Award recognizing leadership and service to the industry.
