Body Image in Lupus Screen
People with lupus may develop poor body image. The Body Image in Lupus Screen (BILS) was developed as a quick screen for body image evaluation specifically for lupus, using FDA guidelines, and feedback from male and female patients with lupus.
The survey has five items, and is validated against three other longer body image measures. It is available by itself for studies or patient care. It is also included as a domain within the LupusPRO. It is published and validated in numerous languages, and is responsive to change in body image.
