Now you can support cancer care and research at Rush just by enjoying your favorite summer activities. 

Swim Across America 2021

This year Swim Across America, or SAA, is offering ways to support Rush University Cancer Center virtually, allowing you to choose your own physical activity and raise funds online. People interested in participating can walk, run, bike, swim or engage in any other exercise in support of cancer research and treatment at Rush.

In addition to choosing your activity, SAA Chicago is offering virtual fitness classes and other ways you can join from home and support Rush.

Sunday Pilates

9 a.m. | $15 | Online

Tara Ziebarth, the owner of Harmony Mind Body Fitness, is offering live virtual mat Pilates classes on Zoom each Sunday. Tara will generously donate all SAA/Rush participant class fees to Swim Across America Chicago, benefiting Rush University Cancer Center. Each class is $15, and classes will be recorded for you to access at a more convenient time as needed. Please be sure to message Tara in the Zoom chat that you are a SAA/Rush attendee. All skill levels are welcome. Please also let Tara know at the start of class if you have any injuries, conditions or concerns.

Swim Across America has directed its proceeds from Chicago-area swims to Rush University Cancer Center since 2012, leading to more than $2 million in total contributions to clinical cancer research at Rush. The funding supports several research projects for cancers, including breast, colon, liver and lung.
