Jada Sherrod

Jada Sherrod graduated with her Master of Health Administration from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health in May 2024. While in graduate school, Jada served on the Black and Latinx Student Caucus. The caucus promotes awareness of Black and Latinx health issues by facilitating dialogue and encourages the professional, sociocultural and academic enrichment of students that draws upon the experiences of Black and Latinx communities.

She completed her summer internship at Fidelis Care, the New York subsidiary of Centene corporation, working as a Health Plan Operations intern. As a member of the value-based care department, her responsibilities included assisting her manager in managing a portfolio of $250M of cost-saving, Health Benefit Ratio initiatives. Her capstone project was to develop an initiative to place high-cost beneficiaries with chronic conditions into care management programs. The goal was to improve quality of care through increased care coordination, improve member satisfaction, efficiently utilize resources and reduce costs.

Jada attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in French in May 2021. She was an active member of the Women’s Club Volleyball team. In her free time Jada enjoys playing volleyball, solving Rubik’s cubes, spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog.

Sydney Howard

Sydney Howard earned her Master of Healthcare Administration from Tulane University School in New Orleans, where she also served as the Secretary of the School of Public Health’s Student Government Association. While in graduate school, Sydney completed her residency at Tulane Medical Center, which was merging with East Jefferson General Hospital. She had the opportunity to lead and contribute to relocation workgroups, including Ambulatory Clinics, Solid Organ Transplant and Acute Care, with weekly reports to the system-wide Chief Integration Officer.

During the last year of graduate school, Sydney served as the interim Practice Manager of the Tulane Allergy, Pulmonary and Rheumatology Clinic, where she oversaw operations while experiencing a physical move to a new campus and transitioning to a new EHR system.

Sydney is originally from California and attended Tulane University as an undergrad, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Strategy, Leadership and Management. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, trying new restaurants and spending time with friends.
