  • Chemotherapy uses drugs to destroy cancer cells or to slow down their growth.
  • Fine-Needle Aspiration Biopsy

    Fine-needle aspiration biopsy is a nonsurgical procedure during which doctors use a thin needle to obtain a tissue sample from a growth for the purpose of determining whether it is cancerous. This procedure is most often used to diagnose or rule out thyroid cancer and breast cancer.
  • Integrative medicine is the use of complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, counseling and massage, to manage disease symptoms or treatment side effects.
  • Lymph Node Dissection

    Lymph node dissection is the removal of a group of lymph nodes, small glands throughout the body that hold white blood cells, or lymphocytes. Doctors usually perform lymph node dissections to treat cancers that have spread or may spread to the lymph nodes.
  • Parathyroid Surgery

    Parathyroid surgery may be used to remove one or more of the four pea-sized parathyroid glands that most people have on their thyroid glands. The most common reasons for parathyroid surgery are hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid cancer.
