Sinusitis, allergies and asthma, chronic diseases that afflict millions of people, are often interrelated — not only do many people suffer from more than one of these conditions, but because they all involve the airway, each condition can affect the severity of the others. You're likely to experience a combination of symptoms, including persistent sinus pain and pressure, breathing problems, sleep apnea and coughing, that can severely affect your quality of life.
That's why Rush created the Center for Sinus, Allergy and Asthma Care, the first program of its kind in the Chicago area and one of only a handful nationally.
Our program is designed specifically to help people who need complex care for multiple airway disorders, bringing together specialists in the following areas:
These physicians pool their expertise to diagnose and address all of your co-existing airway conditions — a comprehensive, coordinated approach that can help you get the relief you need to live life to the fullest.
Excellence in Sinus, Allergy and Asthma Care
A single entry point for all your care
At most centers, treatment of airway diseases is provided by individual physicians with little collaboration between specialties. At the Rush Center for Sinus, Allergy and Asthma Care, we do an exhaustive assessment to determine which specialists you need; then, we assemble your personal care team. Together, your team plans and coordinates all treatments to provide you with the best possible results.
We offer a variety of locations, including the main Rush campus, Rush Oak Park Hospital, Rush Oak Brook and Rush South Loop. So you can schedule appointments with some or all of your care team closer to home, without sacrificing the quality or continuity of your care.
Our specialists will also partner with your current primary care doctor, referring physician or outside specialists, as needed.
From minimally invasive procedures to novel devices and medications, we offer a full range of state-of-the-art medical and surgical solutions. And we'll work with you to come up with a treatment plan that fits both your health needs and lifestyle.
Advancing care through research and education
Our team is committed to elevating the care of rhinosinusitis, asthma, allergies and sleep disordered breathing through cutting-edge basic science research; participating in a variety of clinical trials; and educating residents, fellows and practicing physicians.
