More than five million people in the United States suffer from heart failure, which is a condition that occurs when the heart fails to pump or relax. Heart failure can result from a variety of causes — including coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and heart attack — and lead to a variety of symptoms.

Rush's advanced heart failure specialists and cardiovascular surgeons are trained to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart failure and recommend the appropriate treatment.

Our interdisciplinary team draws on the latest research and technology to give patients with advanced heart failure the personalized care they need to help their hearts work better.
