Forensic psychiatry sits at the crossroads of mental health and the law. The Division of Forensic Psychiatry at Rush addresses forensic inquiries throughout the United States, providing consulting services for local governments, health organizations, independent firms or civilians seeking expertise related to psychiatric illness and human behavior.

The division assists with legal inquiries, evaluations and litigation needs. Clinicians have specialized training in multiple disciplines, including forensic psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.
