Outstanding Achievement Award

Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons logoRush University Cancer Center programs are accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Rush received the 2014 Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer in its most recent survey. Rush has received this triennial award all four times since the award was created in 2004. The prestigious award recognizes programs that excel in providing quality cancer care.

CoC accreditation shows that Rush is committed to providing patients and their families with quality services to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support those dealing with cancer.

Gold Seal of Approval

The Joint Commission Gold Seal of ApprovalRush University Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission. Receiving the Gold Seal of Approval means that Rush meets The Joint Commissions rigorous standards for delivering high quality, safe care.

Magnet nursing

American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program logoNursing staff at Rush University Medical Center have achieved Magnet status, a three-year designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, four times in a row. FACT accredited

Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy logoRush is fully accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy to provide stem cell and bone marrow transplants. FACT accreditation shows that Rush follows the standards for high quality medical and laboratory practice in these therapies. These standards cover the entire process from selecting donors to collecting the cells, processing and storing them, all the way to transplanting cells into patients.

National Pancreas Foundation Center of Excellence

National Pancreas Foundation Center of Excellence logoRush is a designated National Pancreas Foundation Center of Excellence. This designation recognizes Rush's multidisciplinary treatment of pancreatic cancer, treating the whole patient with a focus on the best possible outcomes and an improved quality of life. Rush is the first health system in Illinois to earn this designation.

The QOPI® Certification Program certifies oncology practices that meet nationally recognized standards for cancer care. This certification reaffirms our commitment to providing patients with high-quality cancer care.
