Anna Treinkman RN, MSN, CNP, is a certified gerontological nurse practitioner. She received her master’s degree in gerontological nursing from Loyola University and completed requirements for her nurse practitioner certification from Rush University. She is certified as a nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Treinkman has over 25 years experience working with older adults.
Treinkman has experience working with older adults in a variety of settings, including hospital, home care, long-term care and outpatient. Treinkman leads educational support groups for families and has spoken for many family and professional groups locally and nationally. She is currently a facilitator and program developer for Without Warning, an educational support program tailored for individuals with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
She is a member of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, the Chicago Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses, the American College of Nurse Practitioners and the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. She is a past president of GAPNA and CGAPN.
