Asking others to give honor gifts to Rush is a wonderful way to recognize a personal milestone, celebrate a special occasion or express gratitude to an important person. Honor gifts also help us sustain Rush’s mission to provide excellent patient care, breakthrough research, transformative education and effective community outreach.
Please email Lisa Gerberding in the Office of Philanthropy or call (312) 563-3164 for help establishing honor gifts to Rush. You can also use our online fundraising tools to create a personal fundraising page and share more about why you are asking others to join you in supporting Rush.
We will assist you with the following aspects of directing honor gifts to Rush:
Select an area of Rush to support
You can choose to direct gifts toward the Medical Center’s greatest needs, patient care, research within a specific disease area, student financial assistance or other areas of Rush.
Provide personalized honor giving materials
After you select an area of Rush to support, you may request personalized tools to help with your fundraising, such as the following items:
- Custom giving envelopes at no cost
- A custom link to an online giving form that you can share with friends and family through email or social media
- Assistance creating a personal fundraising page
Offer additional ways for others to give
Credit card gifts can be made by calling (312) 563-3164. Or, you can suggest downloading and printing our giving form for mailed payments, which can be sent to our address:

Thank others for their support
When you ask others to support Rush, the Office of Philanthropy will send a tax receipt to all donors acknowledging their gifts. We can also provide you with a weekly list of all the honor donors and their addresses if you wish to send personal thank you notes.
