Running in Support of Veterans on the Road Home

Staff and clinicians at The Road Home Program: The Center of Excellence for Veterans and Their Families at Rush will run the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of those who bravely served our country and their loved ones.

Nick Turner (left), LCSW; Joao Busnello (center), MD, PhD; and Will Beiersdorf (right), executive director of Road Home Program, will be running with Team Salute to raise funds for emergencies and financial assistance for Road Home Program clients. Veterans face countless challenges after returning from service, as do their family members, including rent, transportation and child care.

The first of its kind in the Midwest, The Road Home Program provides all veterans — regardless of discharge status or ability to pay — and their families with the care and services they need to overcome the far-reaching effects of PTSD, TBI and related conditions.
