The Anchor Cross Society, founded in 1961, is the leadership annual giving society at Rush. Members of this society are an exclusive group of donors who, through their commitment and generosity, have provided critical funding to support the Medical Center’s greatest needs. Swim Across America Chicago Open Water Swim

Swim Across America raises money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment. Each summer, the Chicago Open Water Swim takes off from the Ohio Street Beach, from which participants complete a half-mile, one-mile, one-and-a-half mile or three-mile swim to raise money for the Rush University Cancer Center. In 2014, more than 200 swimmers on 26 teams raised valuable funds in support of clinical cancer research at Rush, bringing the total contributions to Rush since 2012 to $825,000. Join us this summer and "make waves to fight cancer."
