Clinical Trial Protocol Description: 

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of an investigational drug compared to placebo on social behavior, communication and safety in adult men with autism spectrum disorder. Nationwide, approximately 105 patients will be recruited for this study. At Rush University Medical Center, we expect to recruit approximately 5 patients. Participants will receive either investigational drug or placebo which will be assigned randomly.

Clinical Trial Eligibility Criteria: 

In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a man aged 18-45 years with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
  • Speak English.
  • Have a caregiver willing to help you complete study activities and answer questions from clinic staff.
