Patients who are candidates for brain surgery during which brain tumor tissue will be taken out as part of the standard surgical procedure are invited to donate a portion of this tissue and medical information about themselves in order to allow physicians to study brain tumors. The purpose of this study is to determine the activity and effects of two specific genes in brain tumors. These genes may be involved in the growth of brain tumors. Once identified from the tissue of brain tumors, their activity will be stopped along with growth of the tumor sample.
