African-American Response to Asthma Drugs
Researchers at the Rush University Medical Center are investigating treatments for children, adolescents and adults of African ancestry with asthma. The purpose of this study is to find the best asthma treatment to add on for uncontrolled asthma in African-Americans.
In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 5 years of age.
- Have at least one grandparent who is of African descent.
- Be on asthma-controller medication (inhaled corticosteroid with or without a long-acting beta-agonist).
