With Virtual Specialty Care, you can schedule an appointment for available specialties same or next day. Take your one-on-one video call with your provider anywhere you have access to a smartphone, computer or tablet. Right now, only patients in Illinois can use Virtual Specialty Care.

How do I schedule my virtual specialty appointment?
- Click on the "schedule your appointment now" button on the top of the page and select the specialty you need.
- Right now, virtual appointments are only available in cardiology, ear-nose-throat (ENT), dermatology and urology.
- We may have some questions about your health as part of the scheduling process. Complete the scheduling process, then select an available appointment time. That’s it!
- You can schedule as a guest or with your MyChart account.
What happens when it’s time for my appointment?
- When it’s time for your appointment, open MyChart or the My RUSH app. You will get a prompt that your provider is ready to connect.
- Join the video chat on your smartphone or tablet.
What if I need a new prescription or a prescription refill?
- Your specialist will send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
Why can’t I see other specialties using Virtual Specialty Care?
- Only some specialties (cardiology, dermatology, ear-nose-throat (ENT) and urology) are available through virtual specialty care. If you need another kind of specialist, you can make an in-person appointment through the My RUSH app or on MyChart.
