Rush Medical Laboratories provide timely, accurate and cost-effective laboratory testing with analysis by qualified professionals.  Rush Medical Laboratories employ a staff of more than 250 laboratory professionals, including pathologists, hematologists, cytologists, PhD scientists with special clinical laboratory expertise, geneticists, medical technologists and support staff.  More than 1,200 different tests are offered and more than 3 million results a year are reported for Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center and members of the Rush System of Health.  Rush Medical Laboratories are nationally recognized as innovators in laboratory testing in several areas, including flow cytometry, and offer specialized tests not available in many national commercial reference laboratories.   The laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and are licensed by the State of Illinois and CLIA.
