Test includes AFP, HCG, unconjugated estriol and Inhibin-A

TURNAROUND TIME:

5-7 working days

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Collect specimen between 14-22 weeks gestation.  A legible history must accompany physician order and must include:

  • Method of Estimation
  • Number of Fetuses
  • Weeks Gestation
  • Race
  • Weight
  • Insulin Dependent Diabetes
  • Date of Ultrasound
  • Date of LMP
  • Date of Birth

 

CONTAINER TYPE:

SSTTM or red top tube

SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS:

10.0 mL blood (5.0 mL serum)

MINIMUM VOLUME:

6.0 mL blood (3.0 mL serum)
