SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS:

4.0 mL blood (2.0 mL citrated platelet poor plasma) or pediatric 1.8 mL, 2.7 mL tubes

REJECTION CRITERIA: Specimen hemolyzed

Hct > 55%

MINIMUM VOLUME:

Use pediatric tubes: 2.0 mL blood (1.0 mL citrated platelet poor plasma).  Pediatric tubes must be completely filled.
