Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic

Athletes who are still experiencing symptoms or subtle effects from a concussion and return to play too quickly are at risk for serious long-term problems — including fatal second impact syndrome or prolonged concussion symptoms (also called post-concussive syndrome). Long-term effects from multiple traumatic brain injuries could include depression, cognitive delay and dementia.

That’s why Rush created the Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic. Experts at the clinic provide prompt diagnosis, proper treatment and medical clearance to get athletes of all ages back to their sport in the timeliest and safest possible manner following a head injury.

The clinic offers the following services:

  • Medical exams
  • ImPACT neurocognitive testing and vestibular testing
  • Neuropsychological testing if needed
  • Concussion management
  • Vestibular and balance rehabilitation if needed
