Jeremiah Kelly, MD
Jeremiah Kelly, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, completed internal medicine internship and residency training at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and geriatric medicine fellowship training at Mount Zion Hospital /University of California, San Francisco. After working as a clinician-teacher in San Francisco and Boston, Dr. Kelly went to the Gerontology Research Center of the National Institute on Aging in Baltimore where he received basic neuroscience research training as a National Research Council senior sssociate and an NIH senior staff fellow. Dr. Kelly joined the staff of the Rush Alzheimer’s Center in July 2002 after spending four years at Northwestern University Medical School. In addition to participating in the care of patients at the RADC and collaborating in ongoing RADC studies, Dr. Kelly continues to pursue basic research studies focused on the role of cholesterol, oxidative stress and inflammation in brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
