Welcome to the Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Prostate Cancer Clinic at Rush University Medical Center, where we offer state-of-the-art options for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Dealing with a new diagnosis of prostate cancer can be both difficult and confusing. Men often find it difficult to sort through the many treatment choices available to determine their best treatment options.
Rush offers a team approach to the care of men with prostate cancer. At other centers, men are seen by only a single specialist. At the Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Prostate Cancer Clinic at Rush, patients see a team of experts. The clinic offers comprehensive consultation with the goal of educating patients about their diagnoses and offering treatment recommendations tailored to each person's specific cancer.
Patients meet with specialists in radiation oncology, medical oncology and urology who are trained in the latest treatment advances in their specialty areas. The specialists explain in detail the best treatment options in radiation, systemic treatment and surgery. A dietitian is available to discuss nutrition and, if desired, a psychosocial oncologist can offer insights on dealing with a prostate cancer diagnosis.
At the Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Prostate Cancer Clinic, we offer advanced options for the treatment of prostate cancer, including:
In addition, we offer enrollment in randomized trials testing the latest prostate cancer treatments.
