Rush University Medical Center offers primary health care for families through the Department of Family Medicine. Family physicians treat patients of all ages, from infancy to old age. These physicians have the training to care for more than 90 percent of the problems for which patients consult doctors. This includes skin conditions, back pain and other musculoskeletal problems, headaches, routine gynecological care, chronic illnesses and many other diseases. The philosophy of family medicine is that it is essential to know about a patient’s family, work and environment to provide comprehensive, holistic health services.
Family medicine specialists on the Rush medical staff offer a full range of primary health care for families, including low-risk obstetrical care, at offices throughout the Chicago area. Our doctors accept most major insurance plans. To find a family practitioner near you, call (888) 352-RUSH and request a copy of the Primary Care Physician Directory.
