Clinical Services at Rush Neurological Care Programs

Rush's neurology and neurosurgery program is ranked No. 16 in the United States in U.S. News and World Report's 2013-14 America’s Best Hospitals issue.

Program Description

Rush University Medical Center is the program of choice for neurology in Chicago. Our neurology and neurosurgical teams are at the leading edge of advances in medicine, including minimally invasive surgical techniques, diagnostic tests and drug treatments.

Our experienced physicians and neuroscientists explore and unravel the mysteries of the brain and the body's intricate assembly of nerves and muscles, helping to improve care for patients at Rush and around the world.

Rush also has one of the most respected Alzheimer's disease programs in the area. We evaluate more people with memory and cognitive problems each year than any other federally funded program.

Clinical Team

The neurology and neurosurgery staffs at Rush University Medical Center are internationally recognized for their diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical expertise. At Rush, neurologists and neurosurgeons collaborate with other specialty physicians and nurses, taking a multidisciplinary approach to fully address the scope of problems, both common and complex, affecting the brain, spine and nervous system.

Jacob H. Fox, MD, is chairperson of the Department of Neurological Sciences. Richard W.
