Welcome to the Department of Internal Medicine
The Department of Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center is dedicated to excellence in patient care, research and education. Our physicians and scientists are national and international leaders, setting standards of excellence in research that leads to improved health outcomes for people of all ages. The department is also a leader in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate medical education, fostering the dissemination of new knowledge and the goal of training a broad range of health care providers.
Rush ranked among the top 50 hospitals in nine of 16 categories in U.S. News & World Report's 2013-2014 America's Best Hospitals issue. Several of the specialties are within the Department of Internal Medicine.
