It is my great honor to assume the position of Stanton A. Friedberg, MD, professor and chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center.
It is indeed a privilege to lead this distinguished group. First and foremost, I would like to thank David Caldarelli, MD, chairman emeritus, and Paul Jones, MD, interim chair, for their many years of service to the department. We are all grateful for their hard work and dedication.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality, cutting-edge care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck region. We are fortunate to have access to tremendous facilities in this regard. Our physicians see patients in the state-of-the-art ambulatory clinic which is housed in the top floor of the Orthopedic Building. Our surgeons deliver comprehensive surgical solutions in the recently opened Tower building, a world-class hospital designed to deliver the best possible patient experience.
In the coming years, we will continue to build on the previous successes as we look to increase our clinical footprint in the Chicago region by recruitment of additional innovative specialists. We will expand our investment in groundbreaking clinical and basic science research to enhance patient outcomes. We will enhance the resident educational training program that meets the needs of delivering effective, yet cost-conscious otolaryngologic care, in the rapidly changing health care environment.
Whether you are a patient, physician or student, I hope you will find information on our website helpful to your needs.
