The adult inpatient units at Rush are devoted to treating adult patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, including psychotic disorders, during the acute phase of a psychiatric illness. Programs include adult inpatient, affective disorders inpatient and geriatric psychiatry.
During their stay, patients receive psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatment to stabilize their condition, as well as comprehensive case management services, to facilitate their transition to community resources.
The Adult Inpatient Unit, 13 Kellogg is devoted to treating adult patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, including psychotic disorders, during the acute phase of a psychiatric illness.
The Affective Disorders Inpatient Unit is committed to treating acutely ill adult patients with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. During their stay, patients receive psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatment to help them recover and prepare for their transition back to community life.
The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit is dedicated to helping older adults address the issues that are associated with the aging process, so they will be able to maintain quality of life with family and friends. Treatment plans are individualized and include a complete range of both traditional and innovative methods.
